Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec

The 201 km Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec was full of all the feels you’d expect from Svein Tuft’s farewell tour. After 20 years of racing, 13 national titles, and countless memories, Svein competed in front of a hometown crowd for the second to last time of his career. Photographer Oran Kelly was in Québec to document this very special event.

Rally UHC Cycling started six Canadians for this WorldTour Classic but it was American Gavin Mannion who fought his way into the breakaway. Mannion pulled clear of his fellow escapees in the closing laps before getting caught with 25 km remaining. Canadian road champ Adam de Vos suffered in the finale and finished inside the top 50.
