A crash at this weekend’s Tulsa Tough omnium left the current national criterium champion, Erica Allar, with five fractures to four of her ribs. It happened inside two laps to go when riders directly in front of Allar overlapped wheels and crashed.

Her expected recovery time is four to six weeks. The injury puts Allar’s title defense in Knoxville, TN later this month in doubt.
