Riders join podcasts to share personal stories

Inspired by “Stay in Touch” week of the Healthy Habits Challenge, three of Rally Cycling’s athletes participated in podcasts as a way to stay connected during the current social distancing era.

Emerson Oronte, Lily Williams, and John Murphy opened up about the challenges they are currently facing and how they are making the most out of their increased time at home.

Colorado resident Emerson Oronte spoke to Grant Holicky from the Off Course Podcast about the 2020 season, the challenges of competing in Europe, and how he has reframed his time at home by focusing on gratitude and developing new skills and hobbies.

U.S. Olympic Training Center resident Lily Williams caught up with Rob Kelly from the No Training Wheels Podcast about being an Olympic hopeful, her meteoric rise to prominence in cycling, and how experiencing burnout as a runner has increased her appreciation for simply staying active.

Asheville, NC resident, and former U.S. Pro crit champ John Murphy joined The Two Johns Podcast to talk about life without racing and how he’s making the best of the current situation by spending more time with his wife and kids.
