The key to success is preparation and visualization. If you properly prepare and can visualize your success, then nothing can stop you!

Brandon McNulty was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He got into cycling at a young age when his dad would take him out riding on dirt roads by their house. Eventually, McNulty got a real mountain bike and competed in his first mountain bike race at the age of eight. Brandon finally made the transition to the road when he was 12 and was hooked.

What inspired you to ride?

My family and the thrill of competition.

Racing obstacle you overcame?

I haven't had too many major setbacks in my career, but leading into worlds last year I suffered two pretty significant crashes all within a month of the race.

Favorite cheat meal?

One of my buddies and I consider ourselves to be Oreo enthusiasts, so we have to try all the new flavors as soon as they come out.

Favorite healthy meal or snack?

Sushi, raw avocado, and freshly made juices.

Tip for staying healthy?

Getting an adequate amount of exercise, and also mixing up the healthy foods in your diet. If you eat the same healthy foods over and over, you're likely to become tired of them and eventually break your diet.

What motivates you to ride?

I love to race my bike, so I think that's what motivates me to train and push my body to new limits. Knowing that all this hard work and training is going directly into my passion is motivating to me!
