Matteo Dal-Cin grew up like most Canadians playing hockey and soccer, not taking cycling seriously until high school. After completing a firefighting program in college, Dal-Cin turned his focus to racing and has quickly climbed through the ranks. One of the top riders in North America, Dal-Cin embraces the travel and experiences that professional cycling provides. He cites trips to Russia, Italy, France, Belgium and Morocco among the highlights of his career.

The expected recoveries from injuries you get racing your bike, a bit of road rash here and there and one season a broken leg.

Overnight Muesli cereal

Tip for staying healthy?

Try to eat healthy at least most of the time and pick an activity or sport you love doing so exercise doesn't feel like a chore.

What motivates you to ride?

On a beautiful day, going out to enjoy the outdoors. However, when it's rainy and cold out knowing that I get to ride my bike year round as my job motivates me to get out the door and get my workout in even on the yucky days.
